A Cognitive Approach to Language Therapy

A cognitive approach to language therapy is described which takes into consideration the Piagetian theory of cognitive change. Specific examples of how the methodology may be implemented are offered. While developed for treating the communication deviancies of schizophrenic children, the approach has wide applicability for other children with language impairment.
