Overt Behavior Variables in Educationally Handicapped Children, by Higher IQ and Lower IQSan Diego, California Ninety-six learning disabled children were evaluated by their teachers using the Burks Behavior Rating Scales. Educationally handicapped children with low IQ (80-89) show more immaturity, more hostile-aggressive traits, and more neurotic traits than educationally handicapped children with higher IQ (105-125). Implications of the findings for classroom treatment of these types of children are discussed.
