Genetics of Higher Level Disorder

Although ea4y experiences may modulate a child's potential, there is evidence that the nexus of his personality and biochemical idiosyncmcies are inherited. A careful analysis of parents' abilities and disabilities can help predict areas of educational handicap. Resented here is a discussion of some genetic factors underlying learning handicaps The author's experience has been that genetically ordained prepuberty steroid insufficiency and the subsequent impairment of protein synthesis at the level of DNA transcription is a prime basis for learning disabilities Chemotherapy in the primary grade years m y be the key to positive remedhl therapy.
