MultimediaEnhancing Instruction For Students With Learning DisabilitiesCheryl A. Wissick is director of the Educational Technology Center and an associate professor in programs in special education in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests include using multimedia for students with disabilities and assisting faculty to integrate multimedia into their teaching. She is involved in the development of an interactive videodisc project that provides preservice teachers in regular and special education with anchored instruction on the characteristics of students with learning disabilities. Integration opportunities and challenges for using multimedia for students with learning disabilities are discussed in the framework of learning environments.
