Dyslexia

A Survivor's Story

Trumbull Rogers, BA

Trumbull Rogers, BA, graduated from Hobart College. In 1970 he joined the editorial staff of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, where he was trained as a copy editor and proofreader. In 1976 he launched his current career as a freelance technical editor, specializing in college textbooks, professional journals, and trade nonflction, and was a copy editor and proofreader on The Random House Dictionary of the English Language, Second Edition, Unabridged. One of our editorial policies is to provide a forum for discussion on various key issues in our field. This is important because there are many different vantage points to some issues. The Forum section of the journal allows individuals to reflect on these matters from their own viewpoints. In the following article, Trumbull Rogers reflects on his experiences with dyslexia.—JLW
