Howard S. Adelman

Howard S. Adelman PhD, is a professor of psychology at the Unversity of California, Los Angeles. He received his PhD in psychology from that university. Address: Howard S. Adelman, Department of Psychology, UCLA, 405 Hilgard Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90024.

The practice of diagnosing, posthumously, historical figures is highlighted and dis-cussed. Specifically, the emphasis is on (a) underscoring the unsatisfactory nature of the evidence offered for those diagnosed as learning disabled or dyslexic and (b) presenting other explanations for the problems noted.
