Institute of Child Guidance and Development at the University of Saskatchewan

John McLeod, PhD

John McLeod is director and professor of the Institute of Child Guidance and Development at the University of Saskatchewan. Previously he has serverd as head of the Department of Education for Exceptional Children at the University of Sasketchewan and as director of Schonell Educational Research Centre at the University of Queensland inAustralia. He received his PhD degree from the University of Queensland in psychology. Address: Dr,. The growth and development of the Institute of Child Guidance and Development, a university-affiliated unit, is traced from its establishment in 1968. As well as describing its teaching and research activities, the interrelationship of the institute's influence on community educational needs and practice and the influence of those needs and practices on the institute's functions are examined.
